NYACCE was proud to have its leadership and student voices front and center at a recent presentation to the New York State Board of Regents. NYACCE President Amy Mazur, President-Elect Katie LaBonte, and Student Representatives Courtney Davis, Noraima Rivera, and Myo Myo shared powerful insights on the impact of adult education across New York State. Their voices highlighted the strength, resilience, and potential of adult learners- bringing energy and urgency to the conversation about expanding opportunity through education. The NYACCE Advocacy Toolkit provides resources to help you effectively advocate for adult education in New York State. Inside, you'll find the legislative agenda, talking points, fact sheets, and guidance for engaging with legislators and community partners. | On March 5, advocates from NYACCE and NYCCAL came together in Albany for a powerful day of action in support of adult education. With more than 50 legislative visits, including a meeting with the Governor’s Assistant Secretary of Education, Danielle McMullen, members elevated the voices of programs and learners across the state. The day was a strong reminder that when we advocate together, our collective impact drives meaningful change!
